Asalha Puja 2025

Santikaram Forest Temple is inviting all friends and supporters to celebrate the summer event Asalha Puja 2025 (also known as the Dhamma Day) and the beginning of Vassa (three months rains retreat) on Saturday, 12 July 2025 at Santikaram Forest Temple. There will be also a celebration of the 3nd anniversary of the foundation of Santikaram Association Slovakia.

Program:

11:00 offering lunch to Venerable monk/s, blessing

12:00 community lunch together

13:00 opening the celebration, taking Refuge and Five Precepts

13:30 Dhamma-talk

14:00 guided meditation

14:30 recitation of the special Pali texts

15:00 candlelight procession

15:30 sharing merits and blessing

16:00 celebration of the 3nd anniversary of Santikaram Association Slovakia

17:00 cleaning the premises

18:00 closing the event

Notices:

1. The event is free.

2. Everyone is welcome to visit the Santikaram Forest Temple am morning and offer the lunch to Venerable monk/s and join the community lunch together.

3. There is also a possibility to overnight at the Forest Temple and continue with a meditation retreat in the comming week.
